The maths and education symposium in Galway on Monday was a great success. Folens gave out pens and pads at the registration and they were greatly appreciated. http://www.nuigalway.ie/education/news_and_events/20112012.html
Are you asking where I am in the photo! I am not in the group photo on the website... I hid! When I demonstrated how to use the wiiMote hooked up to the laptop I had set the buttons to button B on the wiiMote, I might change that! After all, you are supposed to be throwing a Dart not a Frisbee. I bought a wii as well that weekend and used the sensor bar from it as well as a battery operated sensor bar that I got on-line. (I wasn't taking any chances). I had 4 different bluetooth dongles ready in case my Targus bluetooth dongle had some trouble. It was all programmed using c# in MS Visual Studio Express C# along with XNA game studio 4.0. Many tutorials online later I know more than I did before! Youtube is my friend!!! Myself and Nichola presented the WiiMote using 'the alternative dartboard.' It was programmed using 3ds max for the dartboard itself and dart. Bluetooth WIDCOMM drivers using a targus bluetooth device. Windows 7 operating system. We heard from some amazing new projects that they have developed. The new pupils that these students will teach will get a nice surprise. They were really great projects. Comments are closed.
